THRILLING SPORTS


I was a spectator at the 3on3 streetball tournament in Sharjah on the weekend and witnessed three teams from Abu Dhabi come into a very hostile environment of local Sharjah and Dubai supporters and participants and win all three major categories (Men’s A, Women’s A, CO-ED) at the tournament!

Unified holidays

Is it your museum?

The special pages took me back in time. Someone has told me that the KT offices have a museum of the past and there are pictures of those times gone by that are exceptional. Is this open to the public and can we come there and view them?

Nepotism galore

The op-ed article by Manu Joseph ‘Nepotism in politics’ (KT/ April 15) is a true reflection of the current Indian politics but I would like to differ on few of his comments about the Indian heritage of grooming children.

Awareness issue

This is in response to the news story regarding the Peace Convention held in Dubai (KT/ April 14) which was a good step forward in the direction of awareness. Though every religion favoured education for both boys and girls social customs and traditions were critical to women and responsible for their backwardness.
